Terms

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully before completing and emailing us a booking form. It is the responsibility of the party leader to ensure that all party members read and understand our Terms & Conditions and we take no responsibility whatsoever for failure to do so. Submission of a booking form and payment will be considered as acceptance of our Terms and Conditions.

Your holiday with Boutique Ski runs from 4.00pm on Day of Arrival - 9.30am on Day of Departure

BOOKING

Please contact us by telephone or email for your initial enquiry. If you decide to book, the party leader should complete and return the booking form (on website) within 7 days.

The non-refundable deposit per person is £150, and this payment should be made by bank transfer – details will be given to you once you have decided to book.  A booking will not be considered as confirmed until deposit payment is received.  This should be made within 7 days.

Once the deposit has been received, you will be sent a confirmation letter plus statement by email reflecting payments received and outstanding balance due.

The remaining balance is required 8 weeks prior to the start date of your holiday - the date will be shown on your statement. If we have not received full settlement by this date, we reserve the right to sell your holiday to another client and your deposit will be forfeited.

Please check your booking confirmation carefully. Should there be any errors, please inform us immediately so that they can be rectified.

All correspondence should be addressed to Rosie Journeaux, Chalet Orgueil, En Bas des Vallons, Essert Romand, 74110 France.

 CHANGES TO BOOKING

Whilst we will endeavour to accommodate any changes required, these cannot be guaranteed. Please telephone us immediately should you wish to change your requirements. All guests must be listed on the booking form, and we must be informed of any additional guests who may join the party. Payment for additional guests must be made in resort in cash. The number of guests must not, under any circumstances exceed the capacity of the chalet as stated by us, and we reserve the right to refuse entry to any person/s who exceed that number or whose arrival we have not been informed about.

CANCELLATION

Please inform us immediately by telephone or email of your intention to cancel your holiday. This must be followed by a letter, to be received no more than 5 working days after your notification. The closer your cancellation is to the start date of your holiday, the less chance there is for us to resell your holiday, and cancellation charges will be higher.

Days in Advance Our cancellation charge
More than 8 weeks in advance deposit only
4-8 weeks before arrival date 50%
2-4 weeks before arrival date 80%
Under 2 weeks 100%

Compensation or refund payments will NOT be made where cancellation/late arrival/departure is due to circumstances beyond our control, including (but NOT limited to) adverse weather conditions (such as heavy snow preventing arrival in resort), delays, breakdown or cancellations of transport, and any “Force Majeure” including (but NOT limited to) civil unrest, strikes, war, terrorist activity, natural disasters etc.

Should a discount be offered to a group on the basis of a specific number of guests in the party (and in addition, should sole occupancy be offered to that group on the basis of that number), we reserve the right to withdraw the offer of sole occupany, unless full payment for the cancelling party member is made.

Sole occupancy of the chalet is available at a fixed price for groups of less than 10.  This allows the party to use all five bedrooms and no other bookings will be taken for this week.  Please see prices page for details.

CANCELLATION BY US

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your holiday booking, we reserve the right to do so, for any reason deemed necessary/appropriate by ourselves, even after a booking has been accepted and a deposit/full balance has been paid. 100% of your payment will be refunded immediately. Every effort will be made to offer you an alternative holiday with us, should you wish to select another week, and in this case, a negotiated discount will be offered to the party to compensate for any inconvenience caused. We would also contact other ski holiday companies in the area to check availability, should you wish us to do so.

PRICES AND ACCURACY OF INFORMATION

Prices/details shown on our website, on any marketing material or quoted by us verbally or in writing, are subject to change and we reserve the right to correct/change any information before a holiday booking is confirmed. Prices will not be subject to change once you have booked and paid a deposit for your stay. We will not be held liable for any services we endeavour to offer, but fail to do so, due to circumstances beyond our control.

SPECIAL OFFERS

From time to time we may offer special discounts.  Please note that these depend on the number of adults in a party and do not apply to holidays of less than one week unless specified.

INSURANCE

We do NOT provide any insurance cover. All activities undertaken by guests are at their own risk. It is the responsibility of the party leader to ensure that every member in his/her party has appropriate insurance cover, including adequate winter sports cover. We will not pay any expenses incurred as a result of inadequate insurance cover, medical or otherwise. Please ensure you bring your insurance cover documentation with you.

COMPLAINTS

In the unlikely event that you have a complaint about the chalet or services provided, we must be informed immediately. No complaint will be considered after you have left the chalet on the day of departure.

GENERAL

Our aim is to provide our guests with a memorable chalet holiday experience, and we will always try to “go that extra mile” for them, and be as flexible as possible. However, in turn we ask that guests respect our property, possessions, what is offered to them as part of their holiday, and to bear in mind that the informality of a chalet holiday does not constitute a hotel service.

Occupancy of the chalet runs from 4.00pm on day of arrival until 9.30am on day of departure. However, if guests wish to arrive earlier than 4.30pm, baggage can be left in the playroom until the chalet has been prepared for them.

We ask guests to respect the fact that we must prepare the chalet for guests arriving, and cleaning/changeover will commence as from 9.00am on departure day and bedrooms must be vacated by this time.

If guests wish to ski on departure day, baggage can be left in the garage and collected later.

If guests wish (and if it is possible to accommodate this) to use the facilities of the chalet (eg stay in bedrooms after 9.00am, take a shower, be provided with afternoon tea etc), a day rate of €20 per person will apply - to be payable in resort in cash.  This service may not be available, and guests must make enquiries at time of booking if they wish to receive an extended service.

Please note: we cannot take any responsibility whatsoever for any arrangements in addition to those provided/suggested to our guests during their stay in the chalet or as part of their holiday with us (as specified in the "What's included" section of Terms and Conditions), such as accommodation on other nights, catering at other times, or use of the chalet outside specified holiday times etc.

Guests may not help themselves to food on our evening off and are requested to eat out on this evening.  We will not provide provisions for a meal on this evening and guests may not use the kitchen in order to cook a meal.

Breakages/damage to our property and possessions must be paid for in cash by the party leader before the end of the party’s stay in the chalet.  Labour and cleaning charges will also apply if applicable.  We expect our chalet to be in a fit state for following groups of guests.

We endeavour to be as flexible as possible with regard to transporting guests to and from the lifts, and will ask guests to indicate what their requirements for each day might be. However, we ask that half an hour’s notice is given before collection in the afternoon. We cannot be expected to arrive immediately.  If guests wish to ski on their last day, please bear in mind that we cannot offer such a flexible service due to changeover demands.

We reserve the right to evict from our chalet any person behaving in an inappropriate, anti-social or threatening manner. Our contractual obligations to that person will cease immediately, and we will not pay any costs incurred by that person as a result of their eviction from our property.

Guests are asked not to make excessive noise in the chalet after 11.00pm.

A charge of €50+, and €25 for a new set of bedlinen, will be made if unpleasant cleaning tasks are required as a result of drunken behaviour. Eviction may also apply, as outlined above.

No outdoor shoes or ski boots are to be worn on the first or second floors of the chalet and must be removed in the entrance foyer. Guests are invited to bring slippers or indoor shoes for use in the chalet, although we do have a small supply for guests' use during their stay.

Skis and boards are to be stored in our external locker, boots in the foyer or boot warming room, and large ski bags in the playroom. They must not, under any circumstances be taken on to the first or second floors of the chalet.

Guests do not have the right to enter any bedrooms/bathrooms other than the ones allocated to themselves or their group.  A charge will be made for any disruption/untidiness caused to other bedrooms not allocated to their group.

Adults must take full responsibility for the conduct and safety of children in their care at all times.  We do not provide any childcare services whatsoever ourselves.

Wet ski clothing must be left downstairs and we will endeavour to dry it for our guests.  Ski gloves/other wet items except towels must not under any circumstances be placed on bathroom radiators.

Guests are asked to ensure that any games/toys used in the games room are put back in the appropriate boxes after use, to ensure these items are suitable for use by future guests.

All books, magazines, DVDs (and other items provided for the enjoyment of guests) are the personal property of the owners and must not be damaged or removed from the chalet. A charge will be made for any items missing. An inventory is kept of all items.

Rules and regulations regarding the use of the hot tub must be strictly adhered to.

We reserve the right to withdraw the facility of the hot tub should guests ignore rules and regulations regarding its use, of if any damage is caused.

We reserve the right not to clean/tidy bedrooms which have been left in an unacceptable state, or are not vacated by 10.00am each morning.

Smoking is not allowed in the chalet. Guests are welcome to smoke outside, using the ashtrays provided.

Guests may not help themselves to wine or beer allocated for dinner before 8.00pm (or allocated dinner time), unless a request is made to us and agreed to, or an offer of a drink and canapés before dinner is made by us.

Guests are requested to put any crockery/cutlery/glasses used outside of meal times in the kitchen.

Guests are kindly requested to vacate the dining table after dinner and enjoy coffee/tea/other drinks in the reception area, allowing us to lay breakfast for the next morning.

Guests are provided with one set of toiletry samples.  Guests should also bring their own toiletries.

No pets are allowed in the chalet.

Return of lost/forgotten personal possessions - no item will be posted to guests until full payment for postage is received.

We do not provide a laundry service for guests.
