BlogEND OF SEASONWe're now rested and relaxed after the busy winter. A big thank you to friends old and new who supported us during the season. We work hard to ensure our guests have a fantastic holiday here in Morzine, but to have such interesting and fun people around us makes it worth all the effort. We look forward to seeing many of you again next year as we already have many repeat bookings for winter 2008/09, and we do appreciate your vote of confidence. We hope to extend our ski hosting next season - a service which is so important to so many guests- and we are working hard to find new and interesting ideas to make a Chalet Orgueil holiday even better! New recipes are being tried and tested on friends, and the search is on to find an ultimate cake recipe which beats the previous favourite - raspberry streussal cake! Although the chalet is usually booked by one large family group, please remember it is available on a sole occupancy basis for smaller groups too. The facilities and service offered in the chalet, plus the luxury of your own space (not sharing with strangers) makes a Boutique Ski holiday a much more special and affordable experience than staying in a hotel. We will continue to offer our guests unlimited and complimentary, kirs, wine, beer and soft drinks throughout their stay - something we feel is in keeping with the level of holiday we provide, but not usual practice in a chalet holiday experience. We look forward to seeing you next winter!
The second blogChristmas is here, and the conditions on the pistes are perfect for a ski! We're nearly booked up for this season, but have a few spaces left during January. Great offers to groups who feel like a quick break to start of the New Year. Our first guests of the season left on Sunday, and were simply wonderful. Charming, great company and and delightful to have around! A big thank you to Lorraine and family for getting winter 2007/08 off to such a fantastic start, and for making our job such fun! See you in March!
New idea for 2008/09 season - we're looking for ladies who lunch (and ski). You may have been on many ski-ing holidays with your partner/husband/family and felt left behind in every sense of the word. Have you lost your nerve to go down a red? Have you never wanted to go down a red? Does the whole idea of spending a day on the pistes with people much more enthusiastic and confident than you fill you with horror? Did you lose your nerve after having a baby, or did you have a bad accident? Ski-ing should be fun for everyone, but it has to be at the level you are happy with. I'm proposing a "girls' week" probably in January of next year, when less than confident, "girly" skiers can have a week's tuition to build on their ability. Long stops for lunch, a lovely instructor, lots of chocolate and wine, and a day's shopping in Annecy as a reward at the end of the week. Hopefully we can get a group of fun people together and all enjoy a big boost! Please contact me, Rosie, through the website if this might be of interest to YOU!
IT'S STARTED TO SNOW!!!
After flurries of snow this week, it looks like much more is on its way in the next few days Great results already from our new website, so thank you Dave for all your hard work. More photographs of the chalet will appear on the site soon to give you an even better idea of what we have to offer and what an exceptionally lovely chalet we have! Hope to get some shots of the snow in the next few days. Christmas cake and pudding made, wine ordered and we're putting finishing touches to the chalet ready for our first guests. Should be a great season and we look forward to welcoming friends old and new to Chalet Orgueil. This year we're offering much more flexible holidays. Arrive and depart on any day you wish and for any length of time over three days. Remember our group discounts and if you hurry and book before the end of the month we may be able to offer you even better offers. Try us and see what we can do for you!
