Both Charlie and Rosie have lived and worked in ski resorts, and met in Meribel. After living in Charlie's home of Jersey, marrying and having their daughter, Izzy, they moved to England. Having been on many chalet holidays, they wanted to create the kind of ski-ing holiday experience they would like to have.
Chalet Orgueil was designed by Charlie, a civil engineer, and built in 2006. The timber frame carcass for the build was manufactured in, and transported from, Jersey, by the company he works for. We certainly couldn't have done it without the enthusiasm and professionalism of the many people who worked on the chalet. Further information and pictures of the build can be seen on the Pentagon website www.pentagon.je.
The chalet was named after Mont Orgueil - as seen in the picture above - a historic and iconic landmark on the island of Jersey. This beautiful picture was taken by Stuart Abraham, a renowned Jersey photographer. Further examples of his work can be seen on his website www.jerseyphotos.co.uk.
We look forward to welcoming guests to our beautiful home, and will ensure that they spend a memorable and fun holiday with us! LET IT SNOW!
